Private yoga classes in Cambridge, MA (by request)

I started practicing yoga in 2001 at the of age 15. I celebrated my 16th birthday on the mat, and my teacher shared a poem with me that day by David Whyte called "The Journey" that I have returned to many times since. I believe that yoga is one of the modalities that has the capacity to, as David Whyte says, "write something new in the ashes of your life."

My yoga path took me to India in 2004 where I studied yoga for a semester in Varanasi and began to learn about meditation at a retreat in Bodh Gaya. I received my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certification in 2011, and my 500-hour Yoga Teacher Certification in 2017--both through Sivananda Ashrams. I have taught classes both formally and informally in a variety of contexts since gaining my initial certification.

I am most interested in working with yoga students who want to develop an asana (physical yoga postures) practice that is rooted within the broad scope of yoga. Private lessons are particularly useful for specializing and deepening personal practice. If you live in Cambridge and are interested in individual or group private classes in your home, please schedule a class by emailing humanbecomings@gmail.com. You will need your own yoga mat. I will provide any additional props.

Private yoga classes are $60 an hour.
